Week Seven

Back after the Easter break, Week seven with Miss Keens class, carrying on with the abstract background theme, the students looked at developing different designs with a range of media. The results were quite impressive!

Meeting with Basildon Renaissance, Nimble Fish and Creative Partnerships

I met up with project partners, Basildon Renaissance, Nimble Fish and Creative Partnerships to discuss the latest information updates for the proposed build of the Sporting Village. Roy Short from Renaissance briefed us all on the latest developments and invited the students from the school to visit the site during construction. Greg from Nimble Fish and myself briefed everyone on the progress of the artwork for the site hoardings.

Week Six

For week six, I took in some examples of abstract art to get the students thinking about how they would design the background area of their artwork. We discussed the importance of getting the right colour/pattern/shape to link and compliment the focal points of the artwork .

WEEK FIVE

This week we continued our investigations for the basic ideas for the design, the students have worked well and have produced lots of varied artwork.
